About Us

As a passionate environmental advocate and packaging innovator, Kristen Taylor founded Ecobloom to revolutionize single-use foodware and plastics. After years of watching plastic-laden plates, cups, and cutlery overwhelm landfills and oceans, she set out to prove convenience and sustainability could coexist—without compromise.

Under Kristen’s leadership, Ecobloom has become a trailblazer in 100% backyard-compostable disposable plant-based alternatives that perform like plastic but disappear completely in home compost bins.

From picnic plates to takeout containers, every product is:
Plastic-free & PFAS-free – No hidden synthetics, ever
Certified compostable (OK compost HOME) – No industrial facilities needed
Designed for real life – Heat-resistant, leak-proof, and durable

Today, Ecobloom’s growing line of compostable products helps households, businesses, and event venues break up with plastic for good. Kristen’s vision extends beyond products: She’s building an educational movement to make composting accessible and prove that “disposable” doesn’t have to mean “wasteful.”

We’re not just replacing plastic—we’re redesigning plastic products entire lifecycle. Every Ecobloom product is engineered to nourish the soil, not pollute it.” – Kristen Taylor

Our Mission

At Ecobloom, we’re rooted in science and grown for good, committed to transparency, accessibility, and community. Unlike conventional “eco-friendly” alternatives, our products contain no hidden plastics or PFAS—ever, because true sustainability starts with honesty.

We believe composting should be effortless for everyone, not just those with access to industrial facilities—which is why our backyard-compostable products break down naturally in home bins.

Beyond products, we’re building a movement by partnering with local cafés and compost advocates to make zero-waste the norm, not the exception.

Every Ecobloom product is a step toward a planet where convenience and responsibility go hand in hand.

FAQ

What are Ecobloom products made from?

Our products are made from plant-based materials like FSC-certified paper fiber and cornstarch—no plastic, PFAS, or toxic coatings.

Are Ecobloom products really 100% compostable?

Yes! Unlike “industrial compostable” alternatives, our foodware is certified backyard compostable (OK compost HOME by TÜV Austria) and breaks down naturally in home compost bins.

How long does composting take?

It typically takes 6–8 weeks to compost in a home pile. Shredding cups and plates and keeping your bin moist speeds up the process.

Can I use Ecobloom products for hot food/liquids?

Absolutely! Our hot cups withstand temperatures up to 200°F, and plates are microwave-safe. Just avoid direct flames or ovens.
